This fractal was started from scratch using the Mandelbulb 3D freeware.  The formulas used to create this fractal were ABoxVaryScale4d and _helispiral (although I doubt this second formula had much effect on the final image).  Julia was off.

I used a map by nic022 for the diffuse colors in this image.
